Method 1: Boot into Safe Mode
- Press Windows + R keys. The Run dialogue box will open at the bottom left corner of your display.
- Type or paste: msconfig and hit Enter.

- Now go to the Boot option and select Safe boot and hit Enter.

- Select Restart. Your system will boot in Safe mode.
Note: Usually, the Safe boot is done without an internet connection. If you want to do it with Internet Connection then select the Network option under the safe boot category.
If the Kernel Security Check failure disappears after booting, then check for the offending programs in your PC or uninstall and update the necessary drivers.
Note: If the error still exists, it means something is wrong with the hard drive. You can also directly boot your PC from the desktop, then process the instructions to fix the Kernel BSOD error. If you can’t reboot PC on desktop, then try a hard reboot.
Hard Reboot:
- Press and hold the power button till the PC gets switched off. Then again press the Power Button to restart the PC.
- Repeat step 1 until you see Please wait appears.

- Select advanced options.
- Click on Startup settings > Restart > to boot your PC into the desktop.
Method 2: Memory Diagnostic using System File Checker
Check the System files and bad sectors that cause Kernel Security Check Failure Error.
Run System File Checker:
- Go to the Windows search bar and type cmd.
- Right-click on the Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.

- It will as for administrator permission, click yes.
- Command Prompt will pop up, now type: sfc/scannow and hit Enter.

- Once the scanning process completes, type exit to close.
- Go to the Windows search bar again and type memory.
- Right-click on the Windows Memory Diagnostic and select Run as administrator.

- select ‘Restart now and check for problems’.

- After the restart, the OS will automatically check your RAM memory and show you the possible reasons for the BSOD error.

Method:3 Scan and Fix Hard Disk Error
Check whether there is any error in the Hard disk.
- Go to the File Explorer >> This PC.
- Select the Hard Disk you want to check and Right-click on it.
- Go to properties >> Tools Tab>> Click Check.

- Go to the setting or simply type update in the windows search box.

Method: 5 Restore PC
- First, you need Boot PC into Safe Mode (Refer Method 1).
- Go to the Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Recovery.
- Select Open System Restore > check to Choose a different restore point > hit Next.
- Select the exact restore point you have created and click Next.
- Allow executing the System Restore operation.
Wait until the system restores the process completely. After that, the Windows system will be restored with the previous version. There will be no Kernel Security Check Failure Error after that.
